Atalaya Golf & Country Club sponsors the aspiring, young amateur Valentina Albertazzi, and she has repeated her 2018 success story by walking away again this year with first place honours in the women’s division of the Sub 18 Andalusian Championship. The three-day Sub 16 and Sub 18 event was held last weekend, the 2nd through the 4th of August, at El Parador de Golf, in Malaga.
Amidst a highly competitive field of Andalusian players, Valentina established her position at the top of the leaderboard in Sunday’s final round. Posting a score of 71, with a birdie on the 18th, Valentina was crowned women’s category Sub 18 Champion.
Only one shot behind and placing second for the ladies in the Sub 18 challenge and winning the Sub 16 challenge was Ana Sarrias, of La Cañada.
In the Men’s Sub 18 Category Rocco-Paolo Repetto, from the Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf Academy, in Malaga, placed First. In the Sub 16 Category Álvaro Revuelta, of the Real Sociedad Española Hípica of Madrid, was named champion.
This year’s tournament proved to be an exciting weekend of very challenging golf, and Atalaya tips its hat to all who participated. Special congratulations are extended to Valentina from her Atalaya family as she continues her most successful 2019 golfing journey!
