We wish the Llanwern Golf Club of South Wales a save trip back home. They played on the 25th of April their offshore tournament Sunshine Tour 2016 on our Old Atalaya Golf & Country Club course.
The conditions of the course where magnificent as also the splendid day of sunshine. Atalaya Golf hopes to see you all back very soon.
The course is an eighteen-hole, par 70 parkland course on the outskirts of Newport, South Wales in the middle of beautiful woodland countryside.
Llanwern Golf Club is one of the oldest clubs in South Wales and remains a members club dedicated to providing an excellent course and club facility for the benefit of golfers of all ages and backgrounds. We welcome new members, societies and visitors of all abilities.
Llanwern Golf Clubs distinguished history began when it was founded in 1928 by 3 local businessmen and was accessed by road and rail attracting players from far afield.
An exhibition match, celebrating the completion of the 18 holes was held on 28th July 1937 featuring the legendary Walter Hagan partnered by Joe Kirkwood.
