Long time member Andoni Basterrechea is the 2016 recipient of Atalaya Golf & Country Club’s prestige President’s Cup.
Scoring 40 points, Andoni captured the tournament championship after participating in an 18-hole, qualifying, Individual Stableford competition that was played in light winds, under gorgeous Costa del Sol blue skies, with temperatures in the high teens, on Saturday, November 19.
With a day perfect for golf, some seventy Atalaya members and their guests participated in the event.
A dinner dance and prize giving ceremony capped off the day’s activities.
Atalaya President Ludwig Koller presented eight prizes to men in four categories and six prizes to ladies in three divisions. Prizes were, also, awarded for “nearest to the pin” and for the “straightest drive.”
