Dear Atalaya Golf community,
We are writing to you today with mixed emotions to share important news about our maintenance team. We announce the departure of Juan Moreno, who left his position as Head Greenkeeper after three years of service. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
We are thrilled to welcome Raúl Tineo Brea, who officially began as our new Headgreenkeeper this past Monday, October 14th. Raúl brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked at prestigious golf courses in Spain, the USA, and Saudi Arabia. He hails from a Sotogrande family dedicated to golf, making this more than just a profession for him—it is truly his way of life.
From day one, Raúl’s priority is to enhance both courses, ensuring that members and players see the improvements daily. His main focus will be on improving the condition of the greens, particularly those on the Old Course, ensuring they remain in optimal shape throughout the year.
We are confident that his expertise and vision will greatly contribute to maintaining the high standards at Atalaya Golf. Raúl is not only an expert in his field, but also a passionate golf and padel enthusiast, as well as a dog lover (he has three), reflecting his personal and professional dedication.
