At Atalaya Golf & Country Club, we are committed to providing our members and guests with the best golfing experience possible. As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the quality of our facilities, we would like to inform you that the New Course will be temporarily closed for maintenance from September 2nd, with an expected reopening date of September 30th.
During this period, our team will be undertaking essential work to improve the overall condition of the course. The primary focus of this maintenance is to replace the current greens with Bermuda grass. This decision has been made after careful consideration, as Bermuda grass offers superior resilience to the salt present in the recycled water we use for irrigation. By making this change, we aim to ensure that the greens remain in top condition throughout the year, providing a consistent and enjoyable playing surface for all golfers.
We understand that the temporary closure of the New Course may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make these important improvements. In the meantime, the Old Course will be open for play, and we encourage you to continue enjoying your rounds there.
