On Monday 18 July 2016, the 4th test of the RFGA – APGA Professional Circuit was played at Atalaya Golf & Country Club. Since last 20th June this circuit is has been played in the different Andalusia golf courses.
To date, tests have been played at Valle Romano, La Estancia, El Paraiso and Atalaya Golf & Country Club.
Atalaya Old Course is one of the most famous courses on the Costa del Sol, that´s the reason why the APGA has decided to invest in this area located between Marbella and Estepona. Today is immersed in an important process of investment that certainly will be talking about in the coming months.
The test started with 82 players enrolled in the Absolute, Senior, Ladies and Amateur categories, resulting winners:
Absolute: Gabriel Cañizares -7 (64)
Senior: Diego Morito -4 (67)
Ladies: Noemi Jimenez -6 (65)
Amateur: Sara Navarro +3 (74) and Gonzalo Garcia Parada +1 (72)
Among the professionals winners have been distributed on each categories an amount of 7500€ in prizes, provided entirely by the RFAG, which hopes to reach double for the Grand Final to be held on 22 and 23 August at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina among the top 21 players Absolute Ranking, the top 12 Senior Ranking and the top 4 Ladies Ranking.
Before this, the last event will be held in Villanueva Golf next July 25. Registration is still open and can be made through the website of the RFAG: http://rfga.org.
