The Old Course at Atalaya Golf & Country Club will be bubbling over with ladies on Sunday, the 1st of November. The course will be the scene of the “III Tournament Ladies in Golf & COPE Marbella”.
The event’s organiser Montse SanFrancisco and Andrés Sánchez, Director General of Atalaya Golf, recently promoted this superb event “on air” at the Marbella studios of COPE radio.
Format for the 18-hole challenge is individual Stableford, with starts from Hole One every ten minutes beginning at 10h00.
Participants will receive a welcome package before teeing off and then will be greeted at the 10th tee box with a halfway, drink-eat breakfast, providing a little extra energy to everyone for the remaining nine holes.
Many prizes will be awarded to the winners of the three women’s categories and one men’s division. Awards will be given for “closet to the pin”, and a raffle will be held to ensure that not only those at the top of the leaderboard walk away with something special.
The first place winner in each of the four categories will qualify to play in the grand final scheduled for December.
The aspiring amateur Valentina Albertazzi, who has been sponsored for many years by Atalaya and who when in Spain regularly practices and plays at our facilities, will be at the tee box of the par three Hole 16 for a “Beat the Pro” challenge. The winning prize will be a pizza from Pizzeria Don Giovanni in Cancelada (https://pizzadg.com/).
