After a long summer away in their homelands, our members have returned to Atalaya Golf & Country Club to enjoy the many club activities planned during the next several months.
To welcome back all who have been away during June, July and August, Men’s Captain Richard Phillimore, together with Ladies’ Captain Lynne Hood, organised the 2016 Season Opener, on Saturday, October 1st.
The event, which attracted more than 70 people, consisted of a four people, 18-hole Shamble competition, followed by an awards’ ceremony and pizza party.
The highlight of the day was the delicious pizza prepared for all by the club’s new restaurant manager Mirko Bogdanov, who was supported by his chef and staff. Preparing a banquet-like meal for 70 people on one’s first day of taking over a restaurant is no easy task. Mirko carried out the challenge with great aplomb! The pizza is delicious!
