We all know the high risk of fire in Spain, especially in the South during the summer time. By this reason, golf courses have become a powerful ally to help with the forest fire fighting. They supply water of their lakes and allow reducing the distance that aircrafts have to make to collect water.
As helicopters can reach inaccessible areas in a short period of time, they have an integrated system called Bambi Bucket that giving them the ability to collect water from anywhere: golf courses, swimming pools, reservoirs…
This system includes a dropdown mechanical valve to the outside that allows discharge water on the fire area.
Here you can see the video of one aircraft, collecting water from the lake in our golf course. We hope that with everyone’s help can extinguish fires as quickly as possible and cause the least possible damage to nature.
