Over the last few months, there has been significant discussion with the Clubs management over ways to improve the presentation of our two courses. A number of options were considered and finally, a decision made to contract with IDM, a golf course maintenance company.
IDM is providing us with an internationally experienced golf superintendent, Lorenzo Basco Guimaraens, to support Manolo Cuadro, our Head Greenkeeper. IDM has been contracted for an initial period of three months, after which we will assess progress made, before coming to a decision on a longer term contract.
Lorenzo holds a BSc in IT and Business Management from Maryland University (USA) and earned degrees in golf course and turf grass management from Grayson County College, Texas (USA). Lorenzo brings over 20 years experience in golf course management both in Europe and internationally, including a number of European Tour courses.
