At Atalaya Golf and Country Club, we continue our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship by expanding our solar energy installations and transitioning to electric-powered work vehicles.
We have increased the number of high-efficiency solar panels installed at the maintenance facility to produce more green energy. This step further strengthens our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and promote clean energy.
In addition, we have replaced several fuel-powered utility vehicles with electric ones. These versatile utility vehicles, specifically designed for tasks related to golf course maintenance, offer numerous advantages. By switching to electric vehicles, we are lowering our carbon emissions, reducing noise pollution, eliminating the need for oil changes, and benefiting from the increased efficiency of lithium-ion batteries.
Our solar park at the maintenance facility now boasts a total of 17.6 kW of installed power, along with a powerful battery system to store excess energy generated during the day, making it available for nighttime use.
We are also working on expanding the 40 kW solar installation at the parking lot with a second phase to generate even more energy for the clubhouse, restaurant, and to power our extensive fleet of electric golf buggies, as well as other club facilities.
Atalaya Golf and Country Club remains dedicated to sustainability and continuously seeks new ways to innovate and contribute to a greener future.
