Atalaya Golf & Country Club is located in what is known as the “Costa del Golf”, a location that not only allows golf enthusiasts to enjoy the sport in exceptional facilities but also to enjoy the Costa del Sol at its finest.
Our club is located between Estepona, Benahavís and Marbella.
Estepona is considered one of the most beautiful towns on the Costa del Sol. Here you can lose yourself in its historic centre or get to know the most “natural” part of Estepona with its footpaths. But there are some things you can’t miss:
- Visit “The Murals Route” a route through the city where the facades become canvases for the artists.
- Enjoy the best flamenco in the Flamenco Centre “El Patio” in Estepona or in the “Peña Flamenca” where you can listen to the best flamenco of the coast.
- Visit the “Orchidiarum” which gathers more than 4000 different species of orchids.
Marbella on the other hand is one of the most well known towns and apart from the beach, Marbella offers many places worth visiting. Here you can find historical and cultural sites, luxury shops, natural parks, etc.
The town of Marbella offers many unique spots such as the Plaza de los Naranjos, but you can also lose yourself in the narrow streets of Andalusian architecture and Arabic framework to enjoy a walk through enchanted streets.
If you are interested in history and culture we also encourage you to visit Casares. Its steep streets, although difficult to climb, will allow you to enjoy magnificent views from its Moorish castle located on a rock massif. You can enjoy the main square where you will find the fountain of Carlos III which supplies fresh water from the mountains and the house where Blas Infante was born, where art exhibitions of local artists are held in its halls.
Another key location to visit is Júzcar, known as the “Smurf village” due to the picturesque view of the blue painted houses. This village allows you to stroll through its graffitied streets with images of the well-known Smurfs. If you have a more adventurous side you can go on the adventure route which includes zip lines, climbing walls and other activities.
And if you love luxury, you can visit Puerto Banús, one of the most exclusive areas in Spain, a place where high-end cars and yachts can be seen on every corner. There you can go shopping the best luxury brands.
All these places can be visited to enrich your experience on the Costa del Sol and to get to know a little more about the Spanish culture.
