Two of our members Doris Muller and Isabel Hagameyer volunteered to be Marshalls at The Open de España at Valderrama just gone.
Doris had previous experience having marshalled at the Volvo Masters in previous years.
Whilst the weather and course caused issues for the players there were no such problems for Doris and Isabel who were rewarded with Valderrama merchandise including jackets and hats. It was also great for them to go behind the schenes, meet the players with Doris getting photos autographed of players she met when she attended the tour event Dubai Desert Classic in February.
A number of members and staff also attended the event which was a great success all round and we hope it will be a regular event on the golfing calendar.
