Green has been seeded considering that it´s much better to seed than to sod this very important playing area.
The use of trees on golf courses is a necessary part of the course, for they serve several purposes. They define golf holes, shade, make good safety and noise buffers. They also provide a welcome change in colour (decorative purposes), texture and height to the landscape (add a third dimension to it).
Particularly they also support wildlife; thereby tying golf closer to nature, serve as sources of oxygen production.
Fairways sodded with Bermuda 419 as all the other Atalaya Golf holes and 15 cm of sand used in the new fairway.
The green would be playable in 8 weeks time. All as planned!
