This past Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Grand Final of the Senior Circuit Gran Premio Reale Galpe took place here at the Old Course of Atalaya Golf & Country Club. The event brought together the best senior golfers of the year for a day filled with talent, excitement, and sportsmanship.
The standout performances of the day came from Tomas Eklund, Pedro Seguí, and Manuel Pérez, the only players who managed to finish the round under par—clear proof of their excellence and the challenge presented by our magnificent course.
Tournament Results
In the First Category, Helios Otero and María José Santiago were crowned champions. Otero, from Cabopino Golf Club, tied at the top with Juan José Hernández (Club de Golf Bellavista), both scoring 34 points (+2). Otero claimed the victory on handicap. In the women’s division, Santiago, representing El Candado Golf Club, won with 30 points (+6).
In the Second Category, the best scores of the day were recorded. Tomas Eklund delivered a brilliant scorecard of 38 points (-2), while Lorenza Utrera, from Hato Verde Golf Club, took the women’s title with 31 points (+5).
In the Third Category, in the men’s division, Pedro Seguí (Real Club de Campo de Córdoba) and Manuel Pérez (La Garza) tied at 37 points (+1). Seguí ultimately claimed the title due to a lower handicap.
Finally, in the Super Senior category, victory went to Lorenzo Granell, from Baviera Golf, with 30 points (+6).
