Another hectic week at the club with the holding of our very own Solheim Cup event. With the same format as the professionals, but with the relaxation of the rules to include men and some adopted Americans, two teams of 38 players took part in a great weekend of golf.
After three glorious days of competitive golf, the Atalaya “Solheim Cup” was won by the European team by an eight-point margin, with an overall score of 41pts to 33pts.
Winning captain Sirpa Kallela congratulated her team for their efforts and thanked opposing captain Sue Martin for making the event so enjoyable. Congratulations Team Europe!
