Atalaya Golf attended this recent event, organised by the Association of Entrepreneurs of Southern Spain (CESUR) to discuss the drought problems being suffered in the region, and their effect on the leisure industry in general.
The various key speakers highlighted some of the solutions being undertaken, ranging from a self-sufficient desalination plant being developed by the University of Malaga, to the use of reclaimed water in Andalusia.
Following the presentations, a round table with representatives from the hotel, golf and water sectors discussed the problems in further detail, and the challenges which lie ahead.
